We are excited to have you on board. This is a guide on how to get started and make the most of your membership.

Step 1: Email our Network Co-ordinator to join our WhatsApp and Signal groups.

Pop us an email on [email protected] to join our WhatsApp and/or Signal groups. Or come along to one of our meetups or retreats. You can sign up to any and all on our Luma Calendar.

Step 2: Introduce Yourself

Once you join the WhatsApp and/or Signal group, introduce yourself!

We want to get to know you better! Please introduce yourself to the community by creating a post in the #introductions channel. Share a bit about who you are, what you do and what you hope to get out of the network. Don't be shy, we are a friendly bunch!

Step 3: Explore the Network

We offer 3 ways for our members to connect. These are:

Join our Slack Space to connect with other members

Attend our online meetups every month.

Come along to one of our 2 in-person Retreats a year

Step 4: Join our Organising Team

Join our #uktfgnetwork-organising Slack channel to be part of making this Network great!

These groups are made up of members who are interested in collaborating to making the Tech for Good Organisers a great place to organise in. Joining our organising team is a great way to connect with other members who share your interests and to make a real impact in the world.

<aside> 💡 We have organising meetings every other month. If you’d like to come along, look out for a Slack message in the #uktfgnetwork-organising channel and ask to be added to the Google calendar invite.

Step 5: Attend Events

We host regular events such as our biannual retreats and our meetups (held every 2 months on the second Thursday of the month from 4 to 5:30pm). Attending these events is a great way to stay up to get to know us, and connect with others organising in the Tech for Good space.

Step 6: Give and Receive

The Tech for Good Organisers Network is all about collaboration and mutual support. Don't be afraid to ask for help or advice when you need it, and be sure to offer your own expertise and support to other members. Together, we can make a real difference in the world!
